The silly kid-he had no idea what was going on. And once he figured it out he had tunnel vision and could only see the bubbles. Never mind the fact that there was a whole couch full of candy awaiting him.

Easter 2011
I had all these great ideas of how to make Easter more meaningful for my family, but like most everything else this year-I of course didn't get around to it. So we had a pretty typical, if not somewhat uneventful Easter. But sometimes those are the best ones; just good down home fun with your family. Justin's parents came up on Friday for graduation and Grammy Tami did a little mini Easter egg hunt for Matthew in the stairwell. He thought it was pretty cool, especially when he figured out what was inside the eggs.
Saturday afternoon we colored eggs. Justin and I kind of get in to this part of Easter and like coming up with different ways to make the eggs look cool. We didn't go too crazy this year but we still had fun.
Matthew loved helping out, even though Mom made him wear a girl apron. (That's another thing I want to do sometime is make Matthew a cute boy apron he can wear.) Here is the finished product. I personally like the reddish egg with the yellow swirls and the green monster egg the best.
We made more but these made a nice picture together. So Sunday morning Matthew woke up and we brought him out to the living room. The first thing he did was start playing with his balloon that we have floating around the house right now. So we told him to turn around and he started turning in circles. This is where the video begins:

Normally our tradition is to put a little gift inside our giant eggs, but the bubbles were just barely too big, so he didn't even have to open his egg to find the bubbles. It always makes me happy though to see something so simple make him so happy. As you can probably guess, we have been blowing a lot of bubbles the past few days.
