Some things I love about Landon right now:
Weight: 22 lbs
Height: 32 in.
- He loves fishies! (Wonder where he got that from...Koyle) He will pretend to be a fish and flop around on the floor and get closer to the couch as you 'reel him in'. He always wants to play fishies on the ipad, and finds all our books with fish in it. He likes fishing just as much as plain fish. Him and Koyle will be good buddies.
- He also pretends to be a puppy. Never for very long, but it is adorable when he drops down on all fours and starts saying, "woof woof" and wants me to pet him.
- Pretty much he loves animals in general. But specifically he likes to feed animals. If he is eating lunch and the neighbor's dog barks, Landon will hold his food out to the window and try to feed the dog. He feeds any stuffed or plastic animal that he plays with. And if we see real dogs he wants to feed them too. Not sure where the fascination with feeding animals came from, but it's cute.
- Still throws the best tantrums. He is a head banger, but I am trying to teach him not to do this. He's grouchy more than he's not these days, for a myriad of reasons. He's also very sensitive and if you tell him no when he is really trying to do something (not teasing and being naughty), even if you say it in a nice voice, his bottom lip will pucker up and he will start to cry.
- Whenever music comes on he will spin around in circles to dance!
- He loves wrestling with the boys and will jump right on dad in the middle of them all.
- He loves Football. And anytime you say the words Boise State, he will call out "foo-ball."
- He seems to favor his grandpa's and will even call them "papa" on the webcam.
- He has a weird feddish for drinking nasty water. Mud puddles, stagnant out of the water table or bird baths...if there is a puddle he will try to drink it.
Words: I think he is my slowest talker by quite a bit, but he is getting there. I started keeping track of his words the other day and he had more than I realized. Like most 18 month olds, most of his words are sounds, or beginning syllables, but he has a few that he says for real. He says: woof, fishy, mom, hi, dad, mama (Matthew and Koyle), eat, yum and num (yummy, drink, candy), quack, duck, ball, tweet, chomp (dinosaurs mostly), meow (he always says this in a high voice and he tilts his head into his shoulder, so cute), didi (blankie), eye, ope (open, help), and hot.
Sleep: Yeah, also probably my worst sleeper. Mostly because he is inconsistent, but more consistently a poor sleeper than a great one. He wakes up early a lot-often around 5:30, and never later than 7. He still takes two naps though which is our saving grace most days. He is starting to slowly transition to 1 which is nice because I can kind of decide which schedule will work better for our day, two naps or one.
Food: Landon loves corn dogs, toast, water, quesadillas, peanut butter, bananas, really he likes most fruits. Other than that he is pretty picky
Motor: Landon has really shown an interest in coloring and writing lately- in this way he is like Matthew. He enjoys driving cars around and especially ones with trailers he can hook on behind. He's got a good arm and throw really well. His run is getting faster and faster all the time.
We love this crazy boy. He ties us all together. This is my favorite age and I love watching him play and explore and seeing his face light up with pure joy at the simplest things. I love that his cheeks still jiggle when he walks, and I still call him baby cheeks. Although Landy Pandy is his most common nickname, or just Landy for short. He loves his brothers and looks up to them just the way all little brothers should. And he has two good big brothers to learn from.

He's so darn cute! Sounds a little rough lately, but you're always up for the task. Miss that boy!

The picture in the hat and the It's In The MIX t-shirt is super cute and totally makes him look like Matthew! I never really noticed the resemblance but I can see a little Matthew in him there.
