Today was so much fun! We took the boys and met up with our friends at the park to partake of the festivities for Cabelas Kid fish day. It was a little cold in the morning and the wet grass soaked my socks clear through but it was worth sticking it out because once we started catching stuff, things got exciting! Justin and the boys caught four tiny little fish right in a row. Nothing to brag about but they were excited to be catching something. They had fun holding and playing with their tiny fish. We counted the day a success.
Just as Greg was wondering if he would ever hook something, Riggs' pole nearly jumped into the water. Justin grabbed it quick and Riggs stated reeling it in. We could tell it was going to be a big one, but we were shocked at how big it actually was! Oh the excitement that ensued.
As we were walking over to enter the fish into the contest we found out there was a contest for smallest fish. As soon as we showed it to the guys they knew we were going to win. So we enjoyed our free lunch and the boys did some target practice and rock climbing while we waited for the award ceremony to start.

Koyle was a little shy to go up on stage but once he got there he thought it was pretty neat.

Riggs only got 3rd place but his fish was first in our book! Can't say enough how fun it was too sounds the day with these boys. We are happy/sad to see them go in a few weeks and are trying to enjoy these memories we have left to make together.
